Notice to all pilots planning to land at Flying Diamond Airpark: Use Extreme caution on the final approach to verify that the runway environment is free of animals, vehicles, and other potential hazards. Be prepared to go around. Helicopters, livestock, wildlife may be present. There are pilot controlled gates on the road crossing the center of the runway to block traffic when the runway is active. These gates can be activated on 122.925 by clicking your transmit button 5 times within 5 seconds. When activated the gates will close for 2 minutes to allow time for takeoff or landing. For takeoff the gates should be activated 20 seconds before starting your takeoff roll. For landing the gates should be activated approximately mid field downwind. WE ARE A PRIVATE AIRPARK AND THE RUNWAY IS UNSECURED.
